1977 Honda CR

Description

This fully restored beauty has two new tires and tubes, new front and rear brakes, all new cables except rear brake, new fork boots, new correct CR bend handle bars, new leavers, new CR grips, new cross bar pad, new perch covers, new kill switch, new seat cover, ( nicest looking one I’ve ever seen for a cover), new fuel line and in-line filter, new shut-off valve. Tank is excellent inside. Tank and number plates professionally painted by “2-Brothers Vintage Motorcycle Painting”-Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  All correct decals. Motor has new Wiseco piston and rings, wrist pin and top-end bearing. New main bearing and seals and all gaskets during teardown. New clutch including springs. New stainless Allen Head bolts on motor (except the ones that hold the cases together). One hour break-in time on engine.
I am the third owner.  Based on what I saw during the teardown,  I do not believe this bike has alot of hours for being 45 years old. The exhaust pipe is basically “dent free” in the front and bottom.  This is definitely the first time the cases were split.
Approximately $2000 invested in this restoration.
Just like when this bike was new, it is sold “AS IS” … NO WARRANTY.

The listing format required  “mileage”, and disposition of title… therefore,  we listed mileage as 999 and title as “clean”. However,  as with all race bikes, there is no title and mileage is unknown.
