The 2013 ACL lineup was absolutely legendary. This marked the first time ever that The Cure and Depeche mode shared the same stage at the same festival. It was a magical 2 weekends and I’m extremely proud to have been there.
Fans of both bands have a chance to own a piece of this Austin City Limits memory by picking up this special Cure/Depeche Mode edition of the The Chronicle (weekly periodical).
Really cool cover featuring the infamous silhouettes of both Robert Smith and Mr. David Gahan.
Also included inside is a “Brit face off” stat sheet that is both humorous and interesting at the same time. This edition also includes a schedule and map of events from the 2013 Austin City Limits music festival (ACL).
Keep in mind that these were only distributed the weekend of October 4th 2013 for about a week so to state that these are absolutely rare and limited in edition would be an understatement.
Due to the nature of the type of paper that these are printed on and how they are distributed not one copy is absolutely perfect. That is to be expected with any newspaper type publication. I will say that as a collector myself, these are more than suitable for on shelf or coffee table display or even custom framed as I have done myself.
