24-PAGE GAME PROGRAM; MEASURES 7 3/4″ X 10 3/4″; IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH SLIGHT WEAR; DATED SEPTEMBER 13, 1980; GAME BETWEEN THE MAJORS AND SOUTHWESTERN.
AMONG THE MAJORS PLAYERS:  BYRD HILLMAN, JAMES HENLEY, DARYL McLEOD, MARSHALL PEMBERTON.
COACH DAVIS SIGNED:    “Thanks for your letter Walter.  I put it on our team bulletin board.   Harper Davis.”
HARPER DAVIS WAS THE HEAD FOOTBALL COACH AT MILLSAPS COLLEGE FROM 1964-1988.  HIS WON/LOSS RECORD WAS 136-81-4.       PREVIOUSLY, COACH DAVIS PLAYED PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL—IN 1949 WITH THE L. A. DONS IN THE OLD ALL-AMERICA FOOTBALL CONFERENCE—AND THEN IN THE NFL, WITH THE BEARS IN 1950 & WITH THE PACKERS IN 1951.
